 FAQ

Do I need a referral?
No. In Massachusetts, physical therapy is a direct-access profession, which means you do not need a referral to receive care.

How can I prepare for my visit?
Please complete the intake forms that will be sent to you ahead of time. Come with an open mind, curiosity, and readiness to learn about your body.

What should I wear or bring?
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that allow you to move easily. Please bring any relevant medical records, imaging, and a list of your current medications or supplements.

Can I bring my baby or child with me to my visit?
Absolutely. Babies and children are always welcome—I don’t want childcare to be a barrier that prevents you from receiving the care you deserve.

Will I have an internal exam?
Internal vaginal or rectal exams can be very helpful for pelvic floor assessment, as they often provide important information to guide treatment. However, they are always optional, consent-led, and never required. Many effective treatment options are available even if you choose not to have an internal exam.

Which patient populations do you treat?
I work with anyone who has a pelvic floor—which means all genders and all ages.

Do you offer telehealth?
Yes—I provide telehealth physical therapy to patients located in Massachusetts, in accordance with licensing regulations. I also offer health coaching via telehealth, which is not limited by state, so we can work together no matter where you live.

Can I use HSA/FSA funds?
Yes. You may use HSA/FSA funds to cover the cost of care. I am happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

How many visits will I need?
We’ll decide together after your first session what frequency and number of visits make sense for you. While progress usually takes time (there’s no magic pill yet!), your treatment plan will be tailored to your goals, schedule, and financial needs.
